I read this short and simple book several years ago and it became a favorite. I'm always inspired by the profound simplicity by which Brother Lawrence sought to live his life by seeking to find and enjoy the Lord in every aspect of his life. I've found the principles shared in creating intimacy with the Lord are achievable even in our current world and weren't just valid to/for him because he lived in a monastery. I love his account of how he was overcome by joy communicating with the Lord as he washed dishes. To this day, what's more boring and mundane than washing dishes? What if we, like Brother Lawrence used times like those to meditate on and contemplate the sheer unmerited goodness of God? Where would our lives be for our Lord Jesus Christ? One of the things this practice does for me is it increases that quiet inner rest and peacefulness that's become vital to my stability in this often noisy and boisterous world.Product details

An inspirational insight into the life of a man who exemplified the relationship that we should all have with are Heavenly Father.

Every time I read this book, I leave blessed and reminded of how simple loving God can be with His help. In a world that longs to over complicate deep truths, I am refreshed by texts that are not unwilling to keep profound things simple.
